As we continue to encourage our parish members to stay home as much as possible, the parish staff has been very actively working behind-the-scenes to sustain our ministries and our outreach to the community. While we have been working in the office for limited hours, much work is being accomplished – in many unique ways and by all of our staff. 

Here is this week’s staff highlight to give you some insights on some of what we have been doing since you last saw us in the office:

In a “nutshell”, Deb has been actively involved in many of the front office activities including answering the phone, greeting parishioners, selling Scrip and processing car raffle ticket sales. Just like most of staff she is picking up extra tasks that are normally done by our beloved volunteers. She has a role in doing our Scrip inventory, is actively rearranging our (new) picnic details, and has helped get our yard crew up and running. That is a lot to fit into a nutshell! As the weeks continue, she will have a hand in organizing our bulletin mailings and other odds and ends that come up on a regular basis.

Jennie has been one of the driving forces behind the content of our fantastic bulletins and the follow up details of our calling campaign. As staff, we are all enjoying connecting with you during our calls and Jennie is managing all the changes and updates to our parish records. In addition to periodically covering the front desk during our reduced office hours, she has been organizing the new office arrangement, updating our Sacramental records and has become the life-line between us and other area parishes. Her action plan for the next few weeks includes outreach to the community and local parishes – especially those affected by COVID-19 – and writing procedures for some of her many responsibilities. Her warm and welcoming heart has not diminished and she is eagerly awaiting the day when she can greet you again with a big smile.
